Latinas Manitoba is a nonprofit organization founded in 2020 and officially registered in 2021. Our mission is to empower the Latino community in Manitoba, with a special focus on women and families. Through programs, resources, workshops, and events, we promote well-being, education, and social integration.

Latinas Manitoba offers a variety of workshops and seminars designed to support personal and professional growth within the Latino-Americancommunity. These educational sessions cover a wide range of topics, including mental health, financial literacy, legal support, career development, and entrepreneurship. Led by experts and community leaders, our workshops and seminars provide valuable tools, resources, and guidance to help individuals thrive in their new lives in Canada. They foster empowerment, learning, and connection, creating a space for growth and development in a supportive environment.

To donate to Latinas Manitoba with clothes, food, or financial contributions, you can


Clothing Donations:
Drop off gently used clothing at our designated locations or during our community events. You can also contact us to arrange for a pickup if needed. Clothing donations directly support our Latinas Closet initiative.

Food Donations:
We welcome food donations for our community hampers. You can drop off non-perishable food items at our office or during events. Contact us for specific needs or if you’d like to make a larger donation.
 

Financial Donations:
Monetary donations. You can also contribute through e-transfers to latinasmanitoba@gmail.com or by reaching out to us directly for other methods of giving.

In times of crisis, Latinas Manitoba is here to offer support and assistance. You can contact us directly by calling or sending a message to be directed to the appropriate resource. We are available to provide guidance, emotional support, and connect you with emergency services if needed.

We also offer support spaces through workshops and community meetings, where you can speak in a safe environment and receive help from other women and professionals.

If you are facing an urgent situation, such as domestic violence or a mental health crisis, we can guide you to specialized services in Manitoba, including helplines and shelters.

To volunteer with Latinas Manitoba, follow these steps:

Start by contacting us via email or phone to express your interest in volunteering. We will provide you with information about available opportunities and how you can contribute.

Next, we’ll ask you to fill out a volunteer form with basic details about yourself and your interests. This helps us match you with a role that fits your skills and availability.

We’ll then arrange a brief interview to get to know you better and discuss the volunteer options. This helps us understand how we can best support you in your role.

Depending on your role, training may be required to ensure you have the tools and knowledge to perform your tasks effectively.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll be ready to start contributing your time and skills to our programs and events, supporting our community.
